Project Arcadia Lake Water Treatment Plant

The City of Edmond, OK is currently undertaking a comprehensive program to increase the capacity of its surface water treatment facilities at the Arcadia Lake WTP from 10 to 30 mgd in order to satisfy increasing water demands. The project will also reduce the city’s reliance on groundwater wells, especially significant in the light of changing groundwater quality in the area.

BBN Architects is serving as sub-consultant to Carollo Engineers for the design of a new administration/laboratory/well crew maintenance building, new chemical feed buildings, filter buildings, dewatering building, and GAC contractor building to house the sophisticated treatment equipment necessary to meet the City’s high water quality standards. The design team is employing numerous EnvisionTM and LEED® sustainability strategies in the design of all new structures and site improvements throughout the complex.
