Project Kansas Wheat Innovation Center

The Kansas Wheat Innovation Center is an administrative headquarters and laboratory facility for research in food grain plant genetics and genomics, seed strain production and gene banking. The Center is a partnership between the Kansas Wheat Commission of Manhattan and Kansas State University and provides research laboratory space for private research companies. The Center is home to the world’s first National Science Foundation Industry/University Cooperative Research Center on wheat which focuses on improving the food production and disease resistance of wheat and other crop plants, as well as serving as a training hub for graduate students and young researchers.
