Project Sigma Chi Fraternity – KSU

BBN Architects designed a comprehensive remodel for this 60-man fraternity house at Kansas State University. This project addressed concerns about member retention with the goal of providing living accommodations with more efficient use of space and added amenities.

The decision was made to offer the men the sleep / study room model with the removal of the sleeping dorm. A 543 s.f. addition was added to the 2nd floor to add sleep / study rooms to the house. Other items include a new study area, new finishes and furnishings, a new patio, new lighting throughout and new kitchen equipment. Also addressed were HVAC upgrades, new plumbing fixtures, code compliance deficiencies and fire safety. New site amenities include new landscaping and resurfacing of the parking lot and basketball court.
