Project Landmark National Bank

Topeka, Kansas

This building is a new branch for a growing bank. It houses public banking services on the main floor with executive offices above. Sited within a new suburban development, the design attempts to differentiate this building from the adjacent corporate office park and franchise retail/restaurant buildings. The limestone and slate cladding of the main level is inspired by the local geology and contrasts with the transparency of the upper floor, creating a raised lantern visible from the nearby interstate highway. The interior of the bank is simply stated emphasizing soft colors, warm finishes and indirect lighting.
