Project Diamond Creek Ranch

Located in the heart of the Flint Hills region of Kansas, the Diamond Creek Ranch was conceived as a fully operational agricultural and ranching operation in addition to being land managed for recreational hunting. Responding sensitively to the cultural and environmental context of the site was a key design consideration; simple building forms with appropriate orientation and honest materials sit thoughtfully within a context of native prairie gardens and grasslands.

BBN provided full masterplanning services including the evaluation of multiple sites, layouts, and structures across the Ranch property in addition to full landscape architectural services for over 200 acres of land including the establishment of perennial gardens, restoration of native prairie, and selection of ornamental trees. Also provided were full architectural services for the ranch manager’s house, agricultural building, recreational building, and hunting lodge.
